Andy Robertson injury blow for Liverpool with left-back replaced vs Barcelona

Liverpool have been hit with a further injury blow during their Champions League semi-final second leg as Andy Robertson was forced off at half-time.

The Scot appeared to sustain the problem during a clash with Luis Suarez in the first half and, despite making it through to the break, was replaced by Gini Wijnaldum.

Robertson has been a virtual ever-present at left-back for the Reds this term, keeping Alberto Moreno sidelined thanks to his impressive performances.

However, he now adds to a growing injury list for Jurgen Klopp's team as we approach the end of the season.

The Scotland captain joins Mohamed Salah, Naby Keita, Roberto Firmino, Adam Lallana and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain on the sidelines as injuries continue to bite Liverpool.

Owing to injuries to Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino, Klopp called up 19-year-old forwards Rhian Brewster and Ben Woodburn as Divock Origi and Xherdan Shaqiri started in attack alongside Sadio Mane.
