Captain Andy Robertson has pinned his hopes on a Hampden party for the ages next summer.
The Scotland skipper issued a heartfelt address to the Tartan Army following Thursday's historic Euro 2020 play off triumph.
Earlier on Saturday, national clinical director Jason Leitch offered hope that at least some fans will be permitted inside the national stadium in June 2021.
Liverpool left-back Robertson insists it's "fingers crossed" the gates will be thrown open for Scotland's first major tournament appearance since 1998.
And revealed Steve Clarke 's squad have been bowled over by the reaction to their penalty shoot-out victory in Belgrade.
Robertson said: "Hi guys, just a quick message to thank you for all your support over the years, but especially this last week.
"I know we've been far away, but we've felt your love from afar and we know how much it means to the country.
"We've been watching all the videos, it's amazing to see everyone smiling back home through a very tough time.
"I'm glad it made you as happy as it made us. Thursday night is the most special night we've had as Scotland fans and Scotland players in a long, long time.
"Now we have a big summer to look forward to. I hope to see you at Hampden, fingers crossed for that to be possible and we can celebrate together.
"We're back at a major tournament, which is the main thing.
"The build-up is going to be special, so let's all enjoy it together.
"Together, we're always stronger."
