Andy Robertson aims cheeky dig at Mohamed Salah as Liverpool joke continues

Andy Robertson has poked fun at teammate Mohamed Salah on social media regarding the appearance of the Egyptian winger.

Salah tagged Robertson in an image of himself in swimming trunks earlier this afternoon and received a light-hearted response from the Liverpool left-back.

Responding to the shirtless image of the prolific forward, the Scotland international joked: "Bit of body fat to lose yet."

Admired by many for his ability to stay in peak physical condition, Salah's appearance has become somewhat of an ongoing joke between the pair.

In September 2019, Robertson uploaded an image of himself tensing next to the 29-year-old with the caption of: "He's lucky I kept my top on. #putthis6packtoshame."

Although the Liverpool duo are able to share jokes off the pitch, both have remained top professionals when representing the Reds this season.

Jurgen Klopp's side remain unbeaten this campaign and many believe that Salah is currently the best player in the world.

Sharing his verdict on this debate, Robertson told Sky Sports News : "He's an incredible player and I think at this moment he's the world's best and he'll want to continue that.

"He won't want it for nine or 10 games, which he's done so far, he'll want to do it for a whole season like he's done previously and hopefully he can do it, because it gives us the best chance of scoring goals and winning trophies.

"He said he'd be happy to stay here and that's up to him and the club to come to an agreement.

"I hope that I can continue to play with him. I love playing with Mo and I love playing with all the lads around me and you don't want to see anyone leave."
