Andy Robertson addresses Liverpool 'dressing room fight' rumour with Alisson Becker

Andy Robertson has addressed rumours he was involved in a dressing room fight with Liverpool team-mate Alisson Becker earlier this month.

Wild speculation had suggested the two had come to blows following the Reds' 3-1 Premier League defeat at Leicester City on February 13.

Such suggestions were swiftly dismissed by Jordan Henderson two days later, who revealed they had prompted laughter among the squad.

And now Robertson has given his take on the claims by admitting he was unimpressed to discover he was the one supposedly on the receiving end.

"I don't look like the boxing type, do I!" said the left-back.

"The least (likely) two people to fight in the dressing room are myself and Ali, to be honest.

"When you get a couple of bad results, in current times I think people are sitting at home a bit bored and obviously somebody made up a rumour that the gaffer didn't come home whereas me and Ali were fighting."

Speaking to Sky Sports, Robertson added: "I love how I was the one who ended up with the burst lip.

"I would rather it was the other way about but beggars can't be choosers!

"The stuff that was getting written was a lot of nonsense. For the players and everyone in the training ground, we just need to block all that out."
