Andy Robertson addresses Alisson changing room fight rumours and "burst lip" claim

Andy Robertson has rubbished claims he fought with Alisson in the Liverpool dressing room.

Wild rumours emerged that the left-back scrapped with his Reds team-mate Alisson, following the Reds' 3-1 defeat by Leicester City in the Premier League,

It was also claimed that Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp was ready to quit.

Addressing the rumours, Robertson told Sky Sports: "I don't look like the boxing type, do I! The least [likely] two people to fight in the dressing room are myself and Ali, I think people are sitting at home a bit bored.

"Obviously somebody made up a rumour that the gaffer didn't come home whereas me and Ali were fighting. I love how I was the one who ended up with the burst lip. I would rather it was the other way about but beggars can't be choosers!

"The stuff that was getting written was a lot of nonsense. For the players and everyone in the training ground, we just need to block all that out."

Klopp addressed the rumours surrounding him shortly after the Leicester City defeat, where he too categorically denied they were true.

"I don't feel that I need special support in this moment but it's nice. I don't need a break," said the Liverpool boss.

"I am fully of energy, honestly. I see an interesting challenge. We will sort it by playing football, we will sort it together by fighting with all we have. That's the plan.

"Nobody has to worry about me.

"We do this for the people. I feel the responsibility so much when things don't go well."
