Andy Reid is still the best-dressed coach at NFL owners meetings

If there’s one thing as sure as the sun rising tomorrow, it’s Andy Reid wearing shorts and a Hawaiian shirt to the NFL’s annual owners meetings. He’s been doing it for years, and long before he was the head coach of the Chiefs.

Can anyone really blame Reid for dressing comfortably though? It was a balmy 85 degrees in Phoenix on Monday, and when NFL coaches gathered for their yearly photo, Reid was rocking the shorts and a Chiefs themed Hawaiian shirt. Reid shouldn’t be shamed for the business casual look, he should be celebrated. His look has essentially become iconic. Take a look:

Reid is dressed like he’s going to a Sunday BBQ in Kansas City and he’s placed smack dab in the center of the photo. Are we sure that Tommy Bahama and Reid don’t have a secret endorsement deal going on? I remember when he first arrived in Kansas City the fine folks over at 810 sports radio asked him about his Hawaiian shirt fetish and Reid had the perfect response.

“You wear them and you can hide cheeseburgers underneath and no one will ever know,” Reid joked.

Now he’s got his very own Chiefs branded Hawaiian shirts, and he’s still rocking them proudly. Per usual, Reid’s attire caused quite the uproar on social media. Check it out:

Chiefs reporter BJ Kissel quote-tweeted the photo and Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes got quite the kick out of the apparel his coach was rocking.

This group is full of folks from the Andy Reid coaching tree.

This sounds like a good plot for the next Nicolas Cage movie.

Kliff Kingsbury is the new age Andy Reid perhaps?

The NFL competition committee should pass this as a rule.
