Andy Reid decision drops hint over Nottingham Forest team to face Sheffield United

Andy Reid left Jayden Richardson out of Nottingham Forest's under-23s squad last night in what appears to be a hint that he will be involved for the first team against Sheffield United.

The Reds take on the Blades at the City Ground tonight as they look to continue their excellent form under head coach Steve Cooper.

Max Lowe will not be available to face his parent club as a condition of his loan deal leaving many to expect that Gaetan Bong will fill the void.

However, Richardson's omission from the under-23s last night means he could also come into consideration.

Richardson can play at left wing-back and has played the position for Reid's under-23s this season. He also has first-team experience under his belt having made four appearances for the club.

Bong is more of an authentic left-back than a wing-back and that could influence Cooper's decision when it comes to naming his team to face the Blades tonight.
