Andy Murray takes on a brick wall as he returns to tennis court following hip surgery

Andy Murray has returned to the tennis court following his potentially career-saving surgery.

The Scots icon went under the knife in January in a bid to finally solve a hip issue that he's admitted could force him to retire.

Murray broke down in tears at the start of 2019 after being eliminated from the Australian Open and was unsure whether he would ever return to the ATP Tour.

He then underwent a hip resurfacing procedure and revealed afterwards that he was now pain free.

But a return to the court will be the acid test for the 31-year-old and he's posted footage of himself in training.

In a video on his Instagram story, Murray can be seen hitting against a wall with the caption "It's a start".

The star has tentatively confirmed plans to compete at Wimbledon later this year if he feels able.
