Andy Murray swings by Dunblane for impromptu tennis coaching session with kids

Andy Murray has stunned a group of young tennis players during an impromptu coaching session in his home town.

The Scots tennis ace swung by Dunblane Sports Club to pass down his expertise to children taking part in a summer camp on Thursday morning.

A crowd of starstruck children listened closely to what the former Wimbledon champion had to say during some words of inspiration.

Some of the kids were also given the chance to score a point against the Scots sporting legend.

But the 33-year-old didn’t appear willing to let his standards slip as he hopes to take part in the US Open later this month.

The visit to the Dunblane club was a return to his roots, as he and his brother Jamie kicked off their incredible tennis careers at the facility.

Mum Judy was on hand to capture pictures of the unexpected visit.

Writing on Twitter, she said: “Look who just casually strolled into @dunblane_sc to join in with coach Mark Walker’s summer camp.”

Commenting on the visit himself, Mark Walker added: “Awesome to see a certain @andy_murray on the courts this morning. What a treat for the summer camp.”

He later said: “The best three weeks of summer camps. It ended on a high with a very special visitor!”
