Andy Murray's Queen's preparation watched by Hibs' Ryan Porteous and Fraser Murray

Hibs are back at pre-season training this week and Ryan Porteous and Fraser Murray have been spending some of their remaining time off watching Andy Murray.

The tennis star makes his return to action tomorrow after hip replacement surgery just four months ago.

Murray had said that he’d retire after this year’s Wimbledon doubles tournament (if he’s fit enough to compete) but the success of the surgery means he may hold off on any major decisions like that.

Hibs defender Porteous has been doing injury rehab of his own after being ruled out for the rest of the season back in January.

The Scotland Under 21 international is back doing light training now before joining up with the rest of Paul Heckingbottom’s squad on Thursday.

He and Fraser Murray have been benefitting from Murray’s knowledge after the Dunblane man’s sports management agency began representing the young Easter Road stars.

Murray made his breakthrough in to the Hibs first team last season and will be part of Heckingbottom’s squad during the upcoming campaign.
