1st round, Mikhail Kukushkin, Kazakhstan

Ranking 58 Record v Murray Won 0 Lost 2 In the 2012 Australian Open Kukushkin retired injured when trailing Murray 6-1, 6-1, 1-0 and also lost at the Brisbane International that year. Kukushkin has retired from his last three tournaments

2nd round, Robin Haase, Netherlands

Ranking 73 Record v Murray Won 1 Lost 3 Murray’s only defeat to Haase came in 2008 at the Rotterdam Open and he has since beaten him in three grand slams, most recently at the 2014 US Open

3rd round, Andreas Seppi, Itly

Ranking 27 Record v Murray Won 1 Lost 6 Seppi beat Roger Federer in the third round of the Australian Open this year, sealing the result with a spectacular forehand winner. Has not beaten Murray since 2006 and has a hit and miss record against top opposition

4th round, Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, France

Ranking 12 Record v Murray Won 2 Lost 10 These two have met twice at Wimbledon, first in 2010 and then in 2012, with Murray coming out on top both occasions.

Quarter-final, Rafael Nadal, Spain

Ranking 10 Record v Murray Won 15 Lost 6 Nadal would likely need to get past David Ferrer to face Murray. Murray has one win over the Spaniard this year but at Wimbledon he has lost all three encounters

Semi-final, Roger Federer, Switzerland

Ranking 2 Record v Murray Won 12 Lost 11 While Murray was sealing victory at Queens Club, Federer was doing the same at Halle. Federer went out in the quarter-finals at Roland Garros and the third round in Melbourne but at Wimbledon he is a different proposition

Final, Novak Djokovic, Serbia

Ranking 1 Record v Murray Won 19 Lost 8 The champion has not lost to Murray in their last eight matches. Will shock defeat by Stan Wawrinka in the French Open final weigh on his mind?

• This article was amended on 29 June 2015. An earlier version said that Jo-Wilfried Tsonga had not progressed beyond the third round in his last four tournaments. In fact he reached the semi-final of his last tournament, the French Open.
