Andy Murray ranks getting his kids to bed on time ahead of Wimbledon success

Tennis star Sir Andy Murray ranks getting his children to go to bed on time ahead of his Wimbledon successes.

The Scottish ace and wife Kim are parents to four young children: Sophia, five, Edie, three, son Teddie, one, and a third daughter born in March.

And in a chat with This Morning’s Alison Hammond, Murray says: “Seeing the kids sitting at the table behaving and eating their food and going to bed at the right time, those sort of things make me proud.”

And he also spoke of Sophia and co following in his footsteps.

He said: “My eldest daughter plays once a week and if she wanted to I’d be happy but at their ages it’s important to be doing stuff with their friends.”

Murray, 34, also revealed his bizarre Wimbledon superstition.

He said: “I tend to use the same shower. It’s a bit weird, especially if there’s someone else in there – it’s a bit odd standing outside the cubicle.”

  • Catch Andy on This Morning tomorrow from 10am on ITV.
