Andy Murray debuts tennis lockdown challenge as Scots icon calls out Roger Federer

Andy Murray has debuted his own tennis lockdown challenge - and called out Roger Federer to follow suit.

The Scot posted a video on his official Twitter account taking on a "100 volley" tester with wife Kim.

It's about as simple as it sounds - volley the ball back and forth between yourself and a partner 100 times, without letting the ball hit the ground

Murray promises there was absolutely no bickering between him and his other half during the making of the video, but the way Kim seemingly rifles the ball towards the former Wimbledon champion at the end perhaps suggests otherwise.

The Murrays then laid down the gauntlet to Swiss icon Federer and wife Mirka.

Murray wrote: "A challenge to all tennis players and fans... The 100 volley challenge. There was no bickering during the filming of the video, although I think the last volley was aimed at my head... I can't be the only one that wants to see Rog and Mirka hitting a few balls together..."
