Andy Murray-backed Castore signs six-year deal with USA Rugby

Castore, the sports clothing brand backed by the likes of Andy Murray and the Asda-owning Issa brothers, has announce a major deal with USA Rugby.

The Manchester-headquartered company has agreed a six-year partnership which will see the sports performance wear company become the official apparel partner for the senior men’s and women’s Eagles as well as all junior national teams.

Players will sport their new kit as early as the spring with additional designs launching for Rugby World Cup Sevens 2022 and Women’s Rugby World Cup 2021, which is staking place in September this year.

Castore, which relocated its headquarters from Liverpool in 2021, already has deals with the likes of Samoa Rugby, Saracens, Adam Peaty, Newcastle United and England Cricket.

It also recently signed a "lucrative partnership" with McLaren Formula 1.

Pascal Lafitte, director of partnerships at Castore, said: "We are thrilled to be partnering with another national rugby union team in USA Rugby.

"USA have developed rapidly over the recent years, much like Castore, and we look forward to giving their fans something else to get excited about in the build up to Rugby World Cups in 2022, 2023 and beyond."

Ross Young, CEO of USA Rugby, added: "This partnership is an exciting start to a new year and a new chapter for USA Rugby.

"As we continue to grow on the world stage, we look forward to having a partner that not only delivers a compelling portfolio in design technology, but also one that believes in investing in the growth of American rugby over the next several years."
