Andy Murray and Feliciano López win doubles title at Queen's with victory over Joe Salisbury and Rajeev Ram

Andy Murray and Feliciano Lopez have won the men's doubles title at Queen's after beating Joe Salisbury and Rajeev Ram in the final.

Murray marked an impressive return to tennis after six months out, having teamed up with the superb Lopez to secure a 7-6 (6) 5-7 10-5 on Sunday.

Lopez had secured the men's singles title earlier in the day, resting for just 37 minutes before returning to the court for doubles action.

After undergoing career-saving hip surgery earlier this year, Murray celebrated his return to tennis in style ahead of Wimbledon next month.

The Scot celebrated his first title since victory in Dubai in 2017, and a first doubles crown since winning alongside brother Jamie eight years ago.

Murray told BBC Sport after the win: "He [Lopez] was brilliant.

"There's nothing else to say. It was an amazing win today in the singles and even at the end of the match there he came up with some brilliant returns and serves.

"I really enjoyed it. I felt very relaxed at the beginning of the week and was getting more nervous as the week went on and my competitive instincts kicked in.

"My hip felt great, no pain. I'll try to keep progressing from here but I'm just happy being back on the court."
