Andy King completes Rangers loan move as Steven Gerrard seals deal for Leicester midfielder

Andy King has become Rangers 10th signing of the summer transfer window after agreeing a loan move.

The midfielder will spend the season at Ibrox after falling out of favour with Leicester City.

Former Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers sanctioned the move after King dropped down the pecking order following the signing of Dennis Praet.

And now the Premier League winner will spend the season at Rangers and add depth to an already strong midfield.

He'll battle it out with Joe Aribo, Ryan Jack, Steven Davis, Glen Kamara and Greg Docherty for a starting spot while Scott Arfield can also play there.

King joins Aribo, Davis, George Edmundson, Filip Helander, Jordan Jones, Sheyi Ojo, Jake Hastie, Brandon Barker and Greg Stewart in moving to Steven Gerrard's side this summer.

The 30-year-old has spent the majority of his career at Leicester apart from two loan spells at Swansea and Derby.

The player was at Ibrox on Thursday to watch the 3-1 win over Midtjylland.

He's played 379 times for the club and scored 62 goals, while also earning 50 caps for Wales.
