Andy Irving Hearts contract update as club confirm departure of 11 players

Hearts have confirmed the departure of 11 players after their contracts expire.

Christophe Berra, Olly Lee and Harry Cochrane were already heading for the Tynecastle exit, but the club have now revealed who else will be joining them ahead of their return to the Scottish Premiership.

Craig Wighton’s pre-contract agreement with Dunfermline was confirmed when he left for Fife on loan earlier this year.

Aidy White, Zdenek Zlamal, Elliott Frear, Sean Ward and Leeroy Makovora will all leave under freedom of contract after their deals ran out today.

Colin Doyle and Lewis Moore’s time at the club will come to an end on 9 June while Gervane Kastaneer will return to Coventry after his loan spell.

Andy Irving’s contract expires today but the midfielder still has two weeks to accept the contract offer made to him by Hearts.

This is under FIFA rules and is related to training compensation. Should Irving decide not to extend his stay in Gorgie then clubs wanting to sign him will need to pay the Jambos a £300,000 development fee.
