Andy Halliday reckons results of Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig last season shows Rangers can get through to the Champions League group stages.
The Light Blues secured a fantastic 3-0 victory over Union-Saint Gilloise in third qualifying round second leg action at Ibrox after a dismal 2-0 loss away from home in the first meeting. They now meet Eredivisie club PSV in the play-off round and a huge prize of meeting some of Europe's elite awaits if they can show Dutch courage.
Facing the continent's biggest names isn't a new frontier for Rangers, who beat Bundesliga pair Dortmund and Leipzig on the way to May's Europa League final. Halliday - now at Premiership rivals Hearts - reckons the home atmosphere in Govan is a huge tool, although they couldn't have been handed a harder assignment that PSV or Monaco, who they defeated in their latest qualifier. But it's not a challenge beyond them.

Speaking on behalf of Grosvenor Sport, Halliday said: "PSV and Monaco were two of the toughest fixtures they could've got in the next round.
"Rangers will take pride in a lot of the results they've previously had over the last two or three years. You only need to look at last season with RB Leipzig and Borussia Dortmund.
"Rangers were under-dogs for both ties and ended up winning both, also beating teams like Feyenoord and Benfica before that so Rangers have shown that they're more than capable of playing in Europe."
