Former Rangers man Andy Halliday reckons his old club should try to snap up Dundee United hitman Lawrence Shankland.
Shankland's United future is up in the air after firing his team to the Championship title and one of the first tasks for the new Tangerines manager following Robbie Neilson's departure will be convincing him to stay.
Tannadice sporting director Tony Ashgar is expecting bids to come in from down south when the English season finishes.
But Halliday suggested that Rangers could do worse than take a chance on the 24-year-old.
The utility player was released from Ibrox in May and he believes Shankland can step up to the required standards in Govan.
Halliday told Si Ferry on Open Goal : "I would (take him at Rangers),"
"He's done it wherever he's been and he looks like the type of boy that, if he gets chances, he's going to score.
"If you're at a bigger club you're going to get more chances.
"He's just got the knack for scoring goals and that's something that's hard to find.
"There's hundreds of strikers that don't even have that. I think no matter where he's going to go, he's going to score goals."
