Andy Gray admits Alfredo Morelos mistake as Rangers striker wows pundit

Former Rangers striker Andy Gray admits he's changed his mind over Alfredo Morelos after a scintillating start to the season.

The Colombian was the top-scorer in the Scottish Premiership last season but also attracted negative attention for his disciplinary record.

Gray has previously been dismissive of Morelos, but admitted on BeIN Sports today that he's been forced to change his mind.

The pundit said: "Last year he (Morelos) was a waste of time, he might as well have not been a Rangers player.

"This year, whatever he's done, Steven ( Gerrard ) has got him right, he's responded, and he's been excellent this year."

Gray is himself a former Rangers striker, having helped them to win the 1988-89 league title.

After retirement he was briefly assistant manager to Ron Atkinson at Aston Villa before moving into punditry.

He now hosts a football show in Qatar with long-time collaborator Richard Keys.
