Andy Goram Rangers respects paid as fans pack streets outside Ibrox as funeral cortege passes

Rangers fans have turned out in large crowds outside Ibrox for the funeral of late goalkeeper Andy Goram after 'The Goalie's' sad passing.

The legendary goalkeeper was a key figure for the Ibrox club in their 9-in-a-row era and is largely recognised as one of their best ever players in that position. Fans were told they would be able to pay their respects as his funeral cortege was expected to pass their stadium at around 1pm ahead of a private funeral service which will take place at The Wellington Church in the city around 2pm.

During his time at Rangers, Goram was part of the squad that won nine Scottish titles in succession after starting his career at Oldham Athletic and moving to Scotland at Hibs. After the Light Blues, Goram played for a number of teams in both Scotland and England, including Notts County, Sheffield United, Motherwell, Manchester United, Coventry, Queen of the South and then lastly Elgin City.
