Andy Dalton wanted a flag on an Aaron Donald sack from Sunday

Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Andy Dalton had another up-and-down day during his team’s Week 8 loss to the Los Angeles Rams.

Interestingly, one of the items that came up after the game was the nature of a tackle by Rams star Aaron Donald.

In the process of sacking Dalton, Donald picked him up and tossed him. Impressive, though potentially against the rules.

Dalton told the media the following:

“Yeah, I didn’t think that you could pick somebody up and throw them on the ground. I thought that was a rule, but I guess I was wrong.”

Typically, officials haven’t exactly been great this year and Dalton doesn’t have the sort of star power that earns him these types of calls.

But that one play wasn’t going to change the outcome of this one (and Dalton wasn’t suggesting it would). He completed 32 of 52 attempts for 329 yards and one touchdown but admitted he left some massive plays on the field by taking sacks and poor throws.
