Andy Dalton ruled out vs. Eagles; Washington LB Jon Bostic fined $12,000 for hit on Cowboys QB

DALLAS — The Cowboys officially ruled out quarterback Andy Dalton for Sunday's game against the Eagles with a concussion.

Rookie Ben DiNucci will make his first start against the Eagles with Garrett Gilbert as the No. 2 quarterback.

DiNucci becomes the 14th rookie to start at quarterback for the Cowboys. Dak Prescott is the last rookie to win a game at quarterback when Dallas defeated Washington in a Week 2 contest in 2016.

Jason Garrett is the last rookie quarterback to win in his first start when he defeated Phoenix in 1993.

"Yeah, I think the biggest thing for me is I got to keep the chains moving, get the ball in my playmakers' hands," DiNucci said this week. "It's pretty easy when you look out there to your left and you got Michael Gallup and to your right you got CeeDee (Lamb) and Amari Cooper and then (Ezekiel Elliott) to the left of you in the shotgun."
