Andy Considine's Scotland anthem boogies its way towards No. 1 as fans gear up for Euro 2020 party

It's the new unofficial anthem of Steve Clarke's Euro 2020 heroes - and now 'Yes Sir, I Can Boogie' is heading for number one.

The tune, which became linked with Aberdeen stopper Andy Considine after a hilarious stag do video in 2015, has become an overnight Tartan Army sensation.

David Marshall might have been the spot-kick saviour whose save from Aleksandar Mitrovic in the Serbia shootout ended 23 years of hurt and sent Scotland to the Euros - but it was Considine in the thick of the celebrations afterwards.

A video from the jubilant Scotland dressing room showed the squad celebrating to Baccara's 1977 disco number - with the 33-year-old particularly loving it.

And now the tune has shimmied its way up the iTunes charts to third place - towering above the likes of Sam Smith, Miley Cyrus and Dua Lipa.

George Bowie of dance radio show GBX Anthems has already promised a remix of the hit.

Bowie's rework of party ditty Bits and Pieces is already the goal tune at Hampden, where two of Scotland's three group games at the Euros will be hosted - the other being a mouthwatering trip to Wembley to face the Auld Enemy.
