Andy Cole pinpoints what Jadon Sancho will bring to Manchester United

Manchester United legend Andy Cole has explained what Jadon Sancho will bring to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side.

After last year's talks with Borussia Dortmund collapsed, the Reds finally made a breakthrough in their pursuit of Sancho this summer and his transfer to Old Trafford was finally made official on Friday afternoon, albeit the £72.9m fee was agreed weeks ago.

Sancho scored 16 goals and provided 20 assists across all competitions last season and he'll be looking to continue that rich vein of form into the Premier League, although Solskjaer has warned that the English top-flight is a step-up from the Bundesliga.

Regardless, Sancho has established himself as one of the world's most promising young players and United legend Cole, speaking before the Reds' game against QPR on Saturday, pinpointed what exactly the 21-year-old will offer next campaign.

How many goals and assists should Sancho aim for? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.

"Yeah, a quality young player [Sancho]. He’ll bring a lot to Man United, he’ll bring spark, a lot of attacking flair," Cole told MUTV.

"He could say he’s a bit of an old fashioned winger. He’ll get crosses in, create chances and he’ll score chances himself. I think Sancho as an individual, he can go and take people on, drop his shoulder and I think we all know he’s got quite a bit of trickery in his bag.

"He’s got massive, massive confidence in his own ability, so you could always see him being prepared to take people on and create chances for his teammate."
