Bravo daddy Andy Cohen is maaaaaad and the subject of his wrath is both Page Six and actress Sarah Michelle Gellar, ‘cos Andy doesn’t play when it comes to the network’s diamond show RHOBH.
The IRL Buffy is currently on the promo trail for her new movie Ready or Not 2: Here I Come and she’s been stopping by a bunch of outlets, including two of Cohen’s shows: Watch What Happens Live and Radio Andy.
After appearing on both shows, Gellar then stopped by Page Six Radio where she shared her spicy thoughts on the latest season of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
When asked by hosts Danny Murphy and Evan Real if she was enjoying the latest season, which stars newcomers Rachel Zoe and Amanda Frances, she candidly responded: “No.”
“I think it’s boring,” she told the hosts, adding that she’s a longtime RHOBH fan so this season’s slump is disappointing.
It wasn’t all bad, though, as she went on to praise the casting.
“I love Rachel [Zoe], I think Rachel’s a great addition. I love Boz [Saint John]. I live for Kathy [Hilton] and Jen [Tilly]. I want a Jen Tilly-Kathy Hilton spin-off,” she continued.
However, she did have this to say about manifestation coach Amanda Frances: “I don’t think she’s polarising, I just don’t think anyone enjoys her”, adding that she is probably “a lovely person”.
Although she opined that the season has been “slow”, she said she’s happy to see it’s “picking up now”.
This did not sit well with Mr Cohen, who promptly clapped back at Gellar’s assessment on his radio show.
“I guess Page Six Radio interviewed Sarah Michelle Gellar. And it was in our studio, and then they post it,” he said, referencing Page Six’s social media post titled, “Sarah Michelle Gellar is bored by this season of RHOBH“.
Cohen also wasn’t having the idea of a radio guest dragging a Bravo show he executive produces from his own studio, as the Page Six Radio hosts conducted the interview from the Radio Andy studio.
“Don’t bring someone into my studio to trash my show. How about, the door is locked when I leave, how’s that?” Andy said with sass.
“Or maybe think twice about posting that all over social media where it says ‘Andy’ everywhere behind SMG.”
He concluded his rant by backing the latest RHOBH’s season: “She wrong, by the way.”
Season 15 of RHOBH — which drops every Friday on Hayu — is just a few episodes away from wrapping up and reactions have been mixed, from criticism of the pacing of the show to repeated and dragged out storylines to mixed opinions about the newcomers.
SMG certainly isn’t the only one who’s been critical, but the way she delivered the diss clearly didn’t land well with Andy.
Meanwhile, fans have taken to social media to support Sarah Michelle Gellar’s right to drag the new season, with some even calling on Andy to apologise for calling Sarah Michelle out on his radio show.
