Andy Carroll appointed Dagenham & Redbridge boss after KSI move

Andy Carroll has been appointed caretaker manager of Dagenham & Redbridge, two weeks after KSI bought a minority stake in the National League South club.

Carroll takes over in an interim basis after the Daggers sacked Lee Bradbury.

Dagenham & Redbridge are 12th the National League South but still in with a shout of making the play-offs.

Carroll is a shareholder at the club as well as a player, though the former West Ham striker has been sidelined through injury since December.

His first game in charge will be against Neil Warnock’s Torquay United on Saturday.

A club statement read: “Dagenham & Redbridge Football Club can confirm that we have parted company with first-team manager, Lee Bradbury.

“We are very grateful to Lee for his focus, professionalism, and commitment during his time at the club and for his contributions, both on and off the pitch, to stabilise the club last summer.

“Dagenham & Redbridge wish him every success in his future endeavours.

“Andy Carroll will take the team on an interim basis, and further updates will be communicated in due course.”

YouTuber KSI has said he wants to take the Daggers from the sixth tier to the Premier League.
