Andros Townsend has liked a number of heartwarming farewell messages on social media as his transfer to Everton nears completion.
It was revealed on Sunday evening that the 30-year-old was edging closer to a move from Crystal Palace to Merseyside, after spending five years at Selhurst Park having joined the club in 2016.
The Blues are set to make their first signings of the Rafa Benitez era, with the winger and Bournemouth goalkeeper Asmir Begovic both nearing their proposed switches to Goodison Park.
And, as news reached Eagles supporters that their player would be leaving the club, they sent heartfelt farewell messages to the out-going star.
On Monday evening, Townsend's Twitter likes revealed a number of brilliant messages from Palace fans, with a number referencing the upcoming switch to Everton.
In five years at Selhurst, Townsend made 185 appearances in all competitions for Crystal Palace, scoring 16 goals in that time.
