Android users urged to delete six dangerous apps that can steal thousands from bank account

Android users are being urged to delete yet another batch of dangerous apps that can steal thousands of pounds from your bank account.

From Samsung to Google, those who own a smartphone powered by Android should beware of accidentally installing malicious malware hiding in apps.

Researchers from Pradeo have now warned about six dangerous apps that are loaded with a dangerous malware dubbed Joker.

It can steal money from the user and is extremely difficult to trace, their report found.

Worryingly, the apps have been downloaded nearly 200,000 times, the Mirror reports.

In a blog about the findings, Pradeo explained: “Joker is a malicious bot (categorized as Fleeceware) which main activity is to simulate clicks and intercept SMS to subscribe to unwanted paid premium services unbeknownst to users.

“By using as little code as possible and thoroughly hiding it, Joker generates a very discreet footprint that can be tricky to detect.”

Pradeo added: “Users are advised to immediately delete them from their device to avoid fraudulent activities.”

In the last year, Joker has been found hiding in hundreds of apps.

Here are the six dangerous apps Android users are being urged to delete immediately:
