Chelsea head coach Frank Lampard is the bookies' favourite to become the next Premier League boss to be sacked following the Blues' 2-0 defeat to Leicester City on Tuesday evening.
First half strikes from Wilfred Ndidi and James Maddison sealed all three points for the Foxes, lifting them to the top of the Premier League table in the process.
But whilst Leicester celebrated returning to the summit, Lampard and Chelsea were left to reflect on a fifth defeat in their last eight Premier League outings.
The Blues were second best in every department, failing to deal with the Foxes' attacking quality and proving unable to show any attacking intent themselves.
And with the Blues having now won just two of their last eight Premier League matches, Lampard is under a whole new level of pressure, so much so that he is now the bookies' favourite to be the next top-flight manager to be axed.
Betting giants Betfair are currently offering odds of 8/11 for Lampard to be the next Premier League boss to be sacked, just ahead of under fire Newcastle United chief Steve Bruce.
Thus, if Roman Abramovich, the Chelsea owner, does opt to pull the trigger on Lampard, despite backing him so heavily during last summer's transfer window, Betfair have installed former Blues striker Andriy Shevchenko as the favourite for the job at 9/5.
The bookmaker has former Paris Saint-Germain chief Thomas Tuchel as the second favourite for the job, currently priced at 7/2, with Massimiliano Allegri, who has been linked with a Premier League job in the past, also attracting the same price.
