Andrew Whitworth and his family all tested positive for COVID-19

Andrew Whitworth revealed on an NFLPA video call Friday that he has tested positive for COVID-19, and he’s not the only one in his immediate family who has. He said his wife, children and in-laws all tested positive, as well, after a family member went out to lunch with a friend and contracted the virus.

His father-in-law was hospitalized previously but is now back at home.

The Rams left tackle did what he could to avoid being exposed to it this offseason, even turning his garage into a home gym, which he often used with his kids.

Whitworth is the second known Rams player to contract the coronavirus. Brian Allen was the first NFL player to publicly share the news of his diagnosis.

Here’s more of what Whitworth said about the situation.
