Andrew Tate & Brother Tristan Face 21 Charges In The UK Including Rape & Human Trafficking

CONTENT WARNING: This article discusses rape.

Andrew Tate and his brother Tristan Tate have been charged in Britain with multiple sex offences including rape, actual bodily harm and human trafficking.

Manosphere influencer and self-described misogynist Andrew Tate, 38, is facing 10 charges including rape, actual bodily harm, human trafficking and controlling prostitution for gain. These charges all relate to alleged offences against three women.

Tristan Tate, 36, is currently facing 11 charges which include rape, human trafficking and actual bodily harm with all charges relating to one alleged victim. The charges relate to offences which took place between 2012 and 2015.

On Thursday (local time), the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) confirmed that a European arrest warrant was issued for the controversial brothers in 2024. As a result, an extradition request was filed through the Romanian courts to bring the brothers back to the UK, where they hold dual British and US citizenship.

“We can confirm that we have authorised charges against Andrew and Tristan Tate for offences including rape, human trafficking, controlling prostitution, and actual bodily harm against three women,” said a spokesperson for the CPS.

“These charging decisions followed receipt of a file of evidence from Bedfordshire Police.”

Andrew and Tristan have responded to the charges in a statement posted to their political party BRUV’s X account. Yes, they have a political party, and Andrew is apparently keen to become the UK Prime Minister.

“The UK Government accuses the ‘innocent’ while murderers, violent illegals, and corrupt leaders walk free. This is not justice — it’s betrayal! They silence us as they destroy Britain. We will NEVER stop fighting for the sake of our homeland!”

Matt Jury, the lawyer representing several alleged British victims of Andrew Tate, told the press that he welcomes the further charges against the brothers.

“We welcome the clarity from the Crown Prosecution Service that our authorities are working to ensure the Tates face justice here in the UK — they cannot be allowed to escape extradition,” he said, per Guardian Australia.

“At the same time, we ask once more that CPS admit its mistake in failing to prosecute Tate when he lived in the UK and finally charge him for the rape and assault of the other three women, our clients, who originally filed criminal complaints against him as long ago as 2014 but were failed by the system.

“They deserve justice, too.”

The UK charges are the latest accusations against the brothers, following a string of rape and human trafficking charges in Romania. However, according to the CPS, the domestic criminal matters in Romania must be settled before the UK charges kick off.

Following the initial charges in 2022, the brothers were placed on house arrest in Romania until February 2025, when they were granted permission to leave the country. They now reside in Florida but must stick to strict bail conditions and visit Romania regularly. They are also facing civil charges of tax evasion in the UK.

Both Andrew and Tristan Tate have vehemently denied the multiple charges against them.

“The Crown Prosecution Service reminds everyone that criminal proceedings are active, and the defendants have the right to a fair trial,” the CPS said.

“It is extremely important that there be no reporting, commentary or sharing of information online which could in any way prejudice these proceedings.”

Andrew Tate first rose to prominence after he appeared on Big Brother UK in 2016. However, he was removed from the show after a video emerged of him hitting a woman with a belt. He later moved to Romania, where he established a webcam business.

In 2022, Andrew Tate’s following grew significantly on social media where he peddled blatantly misogynistic content and offered advice to men on how to grow their wealth, pick up women and be alpha-males.
