Andrew, officially known as Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, has moved to dissolve Pitch@Palace Global Limited, the business initiative he launched in 2014 to connect start-ups with investors and industry leaders. The decision marks another step in the former Duke of York’s ongoing retreat from public life following years of scandal.
Documents filed with the UK’s Companies House on Tuesday confirmed the dissolution request, signed by Arthur Lancaster, the company’s sole remaining director. Pitch@Palace was once promoted as a prestigious platform designed to support innovation and entrepreneurship by linking emerging business founders with mentors and investors around the world.

According to Andrew, the project has helped create more than 3,000 jobs since its inception. However, the platform began to unravel after he stepped back from royal duties in 2019, following his disastrous BBC Newsnight interview addressing his friendship with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
In the aftermath of the controversy, several major sponsors—including Barclays, KPMG, and Standard Chartered—cut ties with the initiative. The UK arm of Pitch@Palace was shut down shortly after, although some international operations continued until now, according to the Daily Mail.
Financial filings show the company’s funds dropped sharply in the past year, with only £10,965 in cash on hand as of March, compared to £220,990 the year before.
Adding to the turbulence, the venture faced fresh scrutiny when Yang Tengbo, the founding partner of Pitch@Palace China and an alleged close associate of Andrew, was banned from entering the UK after being accused of espionage by the Home Office.
The timing of the company’s closure coincides with another major blow for Andrew. King Charles officially stripped his younger brother of his remaining royal titles, styles, and honors on October 30, citing the ongoing fallout from his ties to Epstein.
Andrew has repeatedly denied allegations made by Virginia Giuffre, one of Epstein’s victims, who claimed he sexually assaulted her when she was a minor. Giuffre died by suicide in April.
The former prince now faces renewed attention from U.S. lawmakers. Last week, members of the House Oversight Committee in Congress sent a letter summoning him to testify about what he knew of Epstein’s activities. “Well-documented allegations against you, along with your long-standing friendship with Mr. Epstein, indicate that you may possess knowledge relevant to our investigation,” the letter stated.
While the committee cannot legally compel his cooperation, the request adds to Andrew’s mounting pressures. He is also expected to vacate his longtime home, Royal Lodge in Windsor Great Park, where he has lived since 2003 under a 75-year lease. Palace officials confirmed he will relocate to a smaller, privately funded residence on the King’s Sandringham estate in Norfolk, though the specific property has not been disclosed.
