Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and Sarah Ferguson "would be turned away" from the exclusive Annabel's nightclub in Mayfair despite being patrons of the venue for decades, an insider said.
The upmarket club, established by Mark Birley in honour of his wife Lady Annabel Tempest-Vane in the 1960s, is a major draw for celebrities and Andrew held his 30th birthday party there in 1990.
But following scandalous revelations about Andrew and Sarah's friendship with paedophile financier Jeffrey Epstein, which saw both of them stripped of their titles, the pair would no longer be welcome through Annabel's doors, The Mail on Sunday reports.
A club insider told the newspaper: “Sarah and Andrew at this point would be turned away. Their type of notoriety is not what the club needs.”
The ban is made “very awkward” by the fact that Andrew and Sarah's daughters Princess Beatrice, 37, and Princess Eugenie, 35, are both members and are allowed to sign in guests.
Andrew himself was never formally a member of the £3,750-a-year club, but the source said: "He and Sarah always enjoyed an arrangement where they can come and go as they please.
"There is some trepidation that actually Annabel’s is among the few remaining places the couple might feel they can still go. It’s very delicate but there are a whole web of membership secretaries who can have quiet words with the right people to let it be known to the girls."
The ban means the end of an era for the former duke and duchess. Andrew planned to have his stag party there in 1986 but changed the venue at the last minute. Sarah and Princess Diana famously arrived at Annabel’s in police strip-o-gram outfits to ambush the party, only to find the men had gone elsewhere.
Andrew has been turned away from Annabel’s before, having once arrived at the door in an open shirt and jeans - defying the club’s strict dress code.
It is understood the ban also includes Annabel’s four sister venues - all owned by ‘king of Mayfair’ Richard Caring’s Birley Group - including Mark’s and Harry’s Bar. In 2018, Andrew and Sarah were pictured leaving Mark’s after dining there. Princess Eugenie also celebrated her birthday at Mark’s in 2023, with her mother and sister.
Andrew meanwhile, was pictured leaving Harry’s Bar last year after dining there with friend and ex-business partner, billionaire sports tycoon Johan Eliasch.
Yesterday, it was reported that Andrew looks set to lose his final remaining honour - the freedom of the City of London.
He was officially stripped of his title of prince earlier this month. Andrew previously agreed to stop using his titles but had expected to remain a prince and officially retain his dukedom, ahead of the publication of the memoirs of the late Ms Giuffre, who had accused him of sexually assaulting her when she was a teenager. He denies the accusation.
Damaging newspaper allegations also include that he had tried to get the Metropolitan Police to dig up dirt for a smear campaign against Ms Giuffre.
The force previously said it was looking into the reports after The Mail On Sunday newspaper claimed he had passed Ms Giuffre’s date of birth and social security number to his taxpayer-funded bodyguard in 2011 and asked him to investigate.
It comes as The Sun reported that Andrew’s ex-wife Sarah Ferguson is considering offers for a television interview, with US channels reportedly said to be willing to pay six-figure sums.
