Andrew McGinley has revealed he has “no contact” with wife Deirdre Morley as he focuses on honouring vows made to his kids.
Tragic Conor, eight, Darragh, six, and three-year-old Carla were killed by their mother in January 2020 at the family home in Newcastle, Co Dublin.
Her trial earlier this year found her not guilty of murder by reason of insanity and she remains at the Central Mental Hospital for treatment.
Heartbroken Andrew told RSVP: “As you can imagine, the relationship is difficult and complicated.
“And I have no contact at the moment. And I’m trying to. But, that’s for me. I need to, I suppose work through that. So I can’t really, I’m a bit lost. I am in no contact.”
Andrew is focused on updating his son Conor’s YouTube account, running charities in his children’s names, and fulfilling their wishes.
Projects include a Snowman For Carla colouring contest on November 13, As Darragh Did charity, Conor’s Clips, and a comic book.
Andrew spoke out recently against a nasty comment left on the Conor’s Clips Twitter account which read: “You should have looked after your wife."
He added that at first he wanted to clarify his wife’s situation but realised the person was being “hateful and spiteful”.
