Andrew McCutchen dressed up as Black Panther to provide an injury update

Andrew McCutchen’s 2019 MLB season abruptly ended earlier this month when the Philadelphia Phillies centerfielder tore his ACL. Eleven days later, he had surgery to repair the damage to his left ACL, as well as a torn medial meniscus, per The Philadelphia Inquirer.

McCutchen is expected to recover and be able to play next season, but at this current moment, he seems pretty bored. So naturally, he returned to his amateur filmmaking hobby.

In his latest artistic creation, McCutchen is dressed as Black Panther and using crutches in a filtered short film, talking about how he’s in search of vibranium — the fictional metal found in Wakanda. However, he hilariously notes that vibranium — the material that makes up Black Panther’s suit and Captain America’s shield — is not a performance enhancing drug.

Accompanying McCutchen’s latest work of art is the caption:

In the video, he also assures viewers he’ll be back stronger than ever while doing a solid Chadwick Boseman impression.

McCutchen’s Black Panther-inspired video is just the latest production in his amateur filmmaking. Previously, he’s explored the familiar feeling of waiting in a doctor’s office:

Years ago, he created a hysterical two-part bit about the American dining experience:

And during this past offseason, McCutchen updated this series with a third installment, along with the caption:

Anyone else hate when their butter isn’t spreadable?😂 #ChroniclesOfARestaurantPart2

Here’s a look at a first-person video he made about the power of his dreadlocks.
