Andrew Maxwell slammed by I'm A Celeb viewers after lashing out at Ian Wright in confusing row

Tensions were high again on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! last night as Andrew Maxwell found himself in yet another dispute.

Since starting the ITV show, the Irish comedian has argued with Eastenders star Jacqueline Jossa and rugby player James Haskell.

However, Andrew embroiled himself in a third row during Sunday's episode, with fellow campmate Ian Wright in the firing line.

The 44-year-old quickly became a hot topic online among viewers last night following his awkward and confusing verbal sparring match the ex-footballer.

Viewers took to social media during the show, calling the Irishman out for "winding people up" and creating "drama", with some wanting him out of the camp.

One user wrote: "Hope Andrew is the first out, snapping at everyone."

While another tweeted: "He’s not coming across well tonight - he just looked like such a petulant troublemaker!"

A third put: "Ian and Andrew are both so sensitive and tetchy. It was only a matter of time for them to have an agrument. They both annoy me tbh."

Last night's spat started when Ian and Andrew ended up locking horns over who had priority in the roast dinner challenge.

Unhappy with the way he felt Ian, 56, was speaking to him, Andrew accused the footballer of singling him out and said: "You keep shouting at me."

The ex-Arsenal player then looked over and said: “Who is shouting, when did I shout?”, to which Andrew replied: "Just then."

Ian shot back: "I wasn’t even talking to you, what did I say?"

When Ian questioned what he had been accused of saying, Andrew replied: "I can’t remember, I’m tired", before walking away.

Roman, who was originally speaking to Ian, headed into the Bush Telegraph and admitted he wasn't "quite sure how this situation happened".

He added: "All I know is that Ian was talking to me and then Andrew stood up and said Ian was singling him out, and I'm just a little bit lost."

Back in camp things continued to get heated as Andrew claimed he could not remember what Ian supposedly said and was tired so headed to bed.

However, he then walked back to the football pundit and opened his arms to make up.

Andrew told him: “I’m sorry, I’m really tired, I don’t know, I’m really tired."

When Andrew started to tear up in front of Ian, the former Arsenal player said: “Don’t cry.”

Andrew apologised: "I’m not going to cry, I’m sorry."

The tired and emotional pair then hugged each other as they settled their differences.

“You’re my pal and I’m just really sensitive" Andrew confessed.

I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! returns tonight on ITV at 9pm
