Andrew Marr had a shock for veteran Tory MP Ken Clarke when he announced a career change the 74-year-old was totally unaware of. The Daily Express reports that Marr introduced on his BBC1 show Clarke by saying: “He has seen it all but he is about to be unleashed, leaving parliament in May after 44 years as an MP.” This came as news to Ken who said: “Can I begin by correcting you? I’m not standing down in May … I’m going to stand again actually.”
