The legacy of Andrew Luck is not one that will be forgotten any time soon and while his abrupt retirement still lingers in the minds of Indianapolis Colts fans, he wanted to make sure they knew how he felt.
Taking out a full-page ad in the Indianapolis Star on Sunday, Luck thanked the fanbase and the city of Indianapolis following the end of his seven-year career.

Dear Colts Nation,
Thank you!
Thank you for an incredible eight years. For welcoming me with open arms. For helping me grow on and off the field. For helping Nicole and I make Indiana our home. And for showing us the true meaning of Hoosier hospitality.
It has been the honor of a lifetime to represent the Colts and the city of Indianapolis on the world’s stage. I can’t wait to see our team take the field and continue the journey.
I’m proud to be a Midwesterner, a Hoosier, and a Colt.

Life will be different for the Colts without Luck under center, but the organization is ushering in a new era. Before the team truly moves on, Luck wanted to give one last thank you to the fans and the city.
