Andrew Luck got booed by Colts fans as he left field after retirement news broke

Andrew Luck was standing on the sideline at Lincoln Oil Stadium on Saturday watching his teammates play the Bears in a preseason game when the stunning news broke that the QB was retiring from the NFL.

Which makes this crazy news even more insane.

There was the 2012 No. 1 overall pick, standing and laughing with teammates while fans around the stadium must have been learning about the news that will most likely rock this franchise for quite some time.

How surreal must that have been for those fans who thought they’d just have a little fun at a preseason football game?

Well, after learning the news some fans booed their (former) QB as he left the field:

Luck during his press conference after the game that it “hurt” to hear those boos. And rightly so because that’s some classless stuff from those “fans.”

The tweets from inside the stadium are nuts, too:

Wild.
