Andrew Bogut says his bitterness toward Warriors was overblown

If you had not heard, Andrew Bogut is back in the Bay Area. The center of the Warriors’ 2015 Championship squad signed with the team on March 6, after a hiatus following a 2016 trade with the Dallas Mavericks that freed up the cap space to sign forward Kevin Durant.

Many in the media reported that the recently named NBL MVP felt animosity towards management for the exit. However, Bogut told media at his exit presser in Sydney, Australia, that these reports were overblown, Anthony Slater of the Athletic tweeted.

In the quote above, Bogut seemed to understand the move made by the organization, as tough decisions often need to be made when given the opportunity to sign someone of Durant’s caliber. Bogut’s ability to see and understand things from an unbiased perspective was commendable, something that is tough for many people.

The Warriors are obviously happy on how things worked out, and are looking to have the same result when Bogut was last on the team: an NBA Championship.
