Andrew Bogut questionable for matchup with Timberwolves on Friday

When the Golden State Warriors head to Minnesota on Friday to face off with the Timberwolves, they could be down a valuable bench piece.

According to Connor Letourneau of the San Francisco Chronicle, backup center Andrew Bogut is questionable for Friday’s game with a groin injury.

Bogut, recently signed after spending most of this NBA season back in his native Australia, is averaging 4.2 points and 5.4 rebounds in five games including three starts.

If Bogut cannot go Friday, the Warriors could turn to Jordan Bell who returns after a mysterious one-game suspension due to “conduct detrimental to the team.” Bell is more than capable to back up DeMarcus Cousins and he should be motivated to play well and get back in the team’s good graces.

The Warriors and Timberwolves tip off at 5:00 p.m. PST from the Target Center in Minneapolis. The Warriors will be going for the season sweep after winning the first three games of this series with two of those wins coming by double digits.
