Liberal members from the ACT opposition have bucked the trend of most of their federal counterparts and will attend the March 4 Justice rally outside Parliament House.
Thousands of protestors will descend on Parliament House on Monday to call for action against gender-based violence.
Among the attendees will be ACT Opposition Leader Elizabeth Lee, who will be joined by fellow Liberal MLAs, deputy leader Giulia Jones, and Nicole Lawder, the Canberra Liberals spokeswoman for women.
Most government MLAs are expected to attend, including ACT Chief Minister Andrew Barr, Deputy Chief Minister and Minister for Women Yvette Berry and ACT Greens Leader Shane Rattenbury.
Speaking on Monday morning, Ms Berry said the protests showed more needed to be done.
"Sometimes it's these kinds of actions that really need to start getting that momentum going along, particularly around sexual assaults and rapes," she said.
"You only have to speak to a woman, any women, to know that every single woman has been affected by sexual assault.

"And so we need to start doing more than what we have been doing."
Only a handful of federal Coalition members are expected to attend the march, although more signalled their attendance on Monday morning. It came as both Prime Minister Scott Morrison and federal Minister for Women Marise Payne both snubbed the march.
Mr Morrison invited organisers to a meeting in his office but the offer was rejected.
