Andreas Skov Olsen in Rangers transfer warning as Bologna 'set' firm asking price for wantaway star

Bologna have reportedly told Rangers target Andreas Skov Olsen he will not be allowed to leave for less than £7.5million.

The Premiership champions are looking to strengthen this month, a need that has become even more pressing with Ianis Hagi ruled out for the season.

Boss Gio van Bronckhorst on Tuesday afternoon confirmed he'll look to bring in at least one more following the arrival of James Sands and a pre-contract deal for John Souttar.

Olsen has been linked with a switch to Rangers all month and has made it clear that he wants to leave Bologna.

The winger was blasted by boss Sinisa Mihajlovic for pulling out of a game against Verona, with the Danish international working separately at training on Tuesday.

But Corriere dello Sport is reporting that it's far from certain the Serie A side will sell the player before the window shuts.

Club Brugge are rivalling Rangers for a deal but the newspaper states their opening bid of €4.5m (£3.8m) has been deemed too low by Bologna.

The Rossoblu are looking for around double that, with their asking price set at €8-9m (£6.7-7.5m).

Mihajlovic and the club's directors are in agreement they won't sell for less than that, and the decision has been communicated to Olsen's agent.

If Bologna do receive the right offer it could accelerate their move for Aberdeen rising star Calvin Ramsay.

The Italian outfit signed Aaron Hickey from Hearts in the summer of 2020 and after his success in Serie A are targeting the right-back.
