Andreas Pereira has doubled down on supporting Manchester United ahead of their Europa League tie with AS Roma.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer 's side host the Serie A side at Old Trafford for the first leg of their semi-final on Thursday night, in a highly-anticipated cup tie.
Pereira has sent a message to his parent club, issuing his support for the team, with a vested interest. The Brazilian is on loan with Lazio in Serie A, who are, of course, Roma's biggest rivals.
Posting onto his Instagram account, Pereira wrote: "Oggi siamo tutti con lo United, giusto? I am with you my brothers! @manchesterunited ", which translates to "We're all with United today, right? I am with you my brothers! @manchesterunited".
The midfielder then posted the same message on his Instagram story with a poll asking Lazio fans if they were supporting Manchester United.
Pereira was allowed to leave Manchester United in search of regular game time but he's managed only three starts for Lazio in Serie A.
"Yes, definitely. They’re a big club, Lazio. Andreas needs to play regularly," Solskjaer said in October when asked if it was a good move for Pereira.
“He started last season really well and played loads of games. You could see the confidence growing and see him developing but, after we signed Bruno, that position that Andy played in was taken because Bruno came in and had such an impact. We decided this is what was best for Andreas.”
It seems likely that Pereira will be sold this summer to give Solskjaer additional funds in the transfer market.
