Manchester United midfielder Andreas Pereira responded to fans on his official Facebook page regarding his recent form.
The Brazilian has struggled this season despite earning the trust of manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and being a regular in the side until recently.
Solskjaer dropped both Pereira and Jesse Lingard from United's matchday squad against Watford on Sunday and the move paid off as the Reds recorded a 3-0 win at Old Trafford.
It appeared to be a challenge from the Norwegian to the two under-performing attacking midfielders, who have contributed just three goals between them all season. Their displays prompted United to sign Bruno Fernandes in the January window and the new signing from Sporting Lisbon has hit the ground running, scoring one and laying on two assists in his three starts so far.
Pereira posted on his Facebook: "Focus on UEFA Europa League. The Revolution begins within us. If we do it all can happen. Now is the time!"
And although there were many supportive comments in response, one United fan gave Pereira a brutally honest assessment of his performances this season.
"You have to do better man," said the commenter. "To be a United player you must keep the standard higher than what you had shown so far."
Pereira replied to that with a 'fist' emoji, but another commenter went further, saying: "find a new club man."
Pereira responded: "I will stay and fight for my place. My place is at Manchester United."
It remains to be seen whether the 24-year-old will win his spot back in Solskjaer's team, but it appears he has no intention of giving up the fight for a regular place at United.
He was in the United training squad before tonight's Europa League tie against Club Brugge and could play a part if Solskjaer recalls him to the fray.
