Andreas Hinkel reveals the hidden Celtic threat Ange Postecoglou must contain from seeing Bayer Leverkusen up close

He's already got experience of breaking hearts in Glasgow.

But Patrik Schick isn't the only man in Leverkusen capable of inflicting serious damage on Celtic, insists Andreas Hinkel.

The former Stuttgart favourite arrived at Parkhead in 2008 but injuries would plague his career in Glasgow and just a year after leaving, he'd retired.

But it was at that point he started to witness the talents of Leverkusen up close when he returned to Stuttgart as a coach, working his way up the reserve and youth teams to then become their first-team assistant and, for just two days, their interim manager.

Schick's Hampden wondergoal against Scotland means we know all about him and wunderkind Florian Wirtz has also grabbed the headlines.

But Hinkel highlighted French winger Moussa Diaby as the man to watch out for.

Speaking to the Daily Mail, Hinkel said: "Since his strike from the halfway line at Euro 2020, the Scottish people all know who Patrik Schick is.

"But even before the tournament, he was rated a really good player in Germany.

"He came to Leipzig after a spell in Italy with Roma and it didn't quite work out at Leipzig. But he has since shown how good he is at Leverkusen. He's a top-quality player who can score different kinds of goals. We saw that at the Euros.

"But Leverkusen have other dangerous players.

"There is Florian Wirtz, the 18-year-old German international who everyone talks about, but there's also Moussa Diaby.

"I first saw Diaby playing for France at the Under-17 European Championship and he was one of the best players.

"He was playing for Paris Saint-Germain but it is really hard to come through to the first team in Paris.

"Now Diaby is one of the most expensive players in the Leverkusen squad and he's made his full debut for France.

"He's a fast winger, who scores goals and gets assists as well."
