Andrea Radrizzani's response about Leeds United's future Champions League prospects will delight fans

Leeds United chairman Andrea Radrizzani has responded to the hopes of fans to get Leeds United back into the Champions League in the next two years.

The Italian media mogul, ever active on social media, posted an advertisement from his network Eleven Sports in Portugal, advertising Champions League football for the upcoming season.

The advert shows fans with shirts of Europe’s biggest football clubs - Real Madrid, Juventus, PSG - all getting onto the same coach as tenors sing the famous Champions League anthem.

One Leeds fan responded to the club chairman asking for a Leeds shirt on the bus in two years’ time.

Radrizzani responded with a tongue-in-cheek reply, asking for just a little more time to get the Whites back into the top tier of European competition again.

Unlike former Leeds manager Dave Hockaday, we don’t think he was being entirely serious with this promise. One step at a time hey!
