Andrea Radrizzani - the Leeds United chairman - has promised that the Whites will soon write the next chapter in their quest to return to the Premier League.
The Italian businessman, who will be desperate to receive news from the EFL, confirming that the 2019/20 Championship campaign will be resumed, made the admission after being sent a very complimentary tweet by former Leeds defender Lucas Radebe.
Radebe, a former South African international, spent nine years at Elland Road after joining the club from South African club Kaizer Chiefs.
During his time with the Whites, the centre-back, who is now 51, racked up more than 200 appearances for the club, including some key performances in the UEFA Champions League.
Despite having left Elland Road 15 years ago, Radebe remains a popular name amongst the club's supporters. It also appears as though he still has a lot of love for the club as well, with the former Whites defender having taken to social media on Monday evening to heap praise on the Leeds United documentary, 'Take Us Home: Leeds United.'
As well as heaping praise on the series itself, the former Leeds ace also heaped special praise on the work Radrizzani has done to try and take the club back to where it belongs.
In a tweet, Radebe said: Been absorbed by Leeds United documentary on s7 absolutely fantastic insight how Bielsa transforms @LUFC Thanks to @Andria Radrizzani for investing in a great football club. #MOT @Only_LEEDS."
Radebe's admission brought a response out of Radrizzani, and it was a promise that will have no doubt been music to the ears of Leeds' supporters, especially during a period where the Premier League promotion aspirations hang in the balance, with no date having yet been confirmed for when the campaign could resume following the coronavirus shutdown.
Radrizzani said: "Thank you Lucas. We will write soon the next chapter ...keep will in SA."
Radrizzani's admission about soon writing the "next chapter" is bound to send plenty of encouragement and optimism to Leeds' supporters, as they nervously await news about the remainder of the campaign.
As things stand, Leeds are top of the Championship table with nine fixtures left to play, including a crunch encounter with Fulham at Elland Road.
That game - should it be played - could go a long way in determining the automatic promotion race, with Leeds currently seven points clear of Fulham, who lie third in the standings.
