Andrea Radrizzani's monthly financial commitment at Leeds United detailed

Leeds United chief executive Angus Kinnear has responded to fans questioning the financial commitment and resources of owner Andrea Radrizzani.

The club have been active in the transfer market in the past week, signing Ian Poveda from Manchester City and securing the services of Jean-Kevin Augustin on loan from Bundesliga leaders RB Leipzig.

Despite this, questions have been asked about Radrizzani' s input into the side financially and Kinnear has now revealed that the owner is subsidising the increased wages of the Whites.

"The reality is that Andrea is still writing a cheque for £1m every month to subsidise a wage bill that we have consciously doubled under our tenure," Kinnear said in his programme notes ahead of the clash against Millwall.

"Furthermore we are working right on the margins of the league's profit and sustainability rules. Despite all of this, we were able to table three separate bids, all of which would have equalled the club's record transfer outlay."

Leeds moved back to the top of the Championship table after they came from two goals down to see off Millwall 3-2 at Elland Road on Tuesday evening.
